If anyone has followed me they know I tweak my blog often. I try and keep a similar theme but I do make minor adjustments. Of course, moving to WordPress was a big change but I still tried to keep it somewhat consistent. (By the way, I LOVE wordpress, I moved over kicking and screaming but I won’t go back.)
Anyhooooo, I am getting a blog header and a few small things done, which means I’ll also change up my coloring as well. So, be on the look out! Also, I am the host {so honored} of a twitter party up and coming! I hope you’ll stop by and RSVP!
You know what this has got me thinking about though. My mom is trying to plan a visit. For some reason I do take a look around, I wonder what she’ll like and what she’ll say ‘oh, this is interesting’ about. Plus I love to change things up, keep it fresh.
These are some things I saw while browsing Overstock.com, thought I’d post ‘em, we can ‘ahhh’ together. I even have some fun stories you may enjoy in preparation for my mom’s visit:
Boy do I need a new coffee pot. When my mom comes to visit it is the center of her (our)sanity and well, what I have doesn’t really help matters 
[it has to be a glass pot, she said it just tastes better; mine is thermal], maybe I should consider this one:

For some odd reason, my house is never ‘bright enough’ for my dear mom. In fact when my first child was born she came for one week and then my dad came the second. In tow with him was two table lamps (neither of which matched any room in my house). This is more suitable to my decor:

My mom also feels my house was/is too cold. She is from Texas, I am in Ohio, she stays cold the whole visit. When my dad visited, in addition to the (1) gold and (2) purple lamp she sent with him three blankets: an electric blanket and two (yes two) comforters. Once again, neither matched any room in my house, one was blue, the other pink! [This would have been a better fit, but in brown:]

I do enjoy my mom’s visit. I am glad she can tell me what is on her mind, I guess. She also is great at bringing the cutest clothes for my daughter (my son not so much). This is very much like something she would bring:

Ha ha — when Mom comes to visit — try Keurig for coffee. I won’t ever go back to a percolator – coffee pot.
